| Breakthrough in UV-Curable Ink for Non-Porous Materials |
|
Array Graphics introduces TrueFlex, a new UV-curable ink for use on non-porous substrates, including plastics and laminated materials. TrueFlex is a breakthrough in UV-curable inks in that it is the first to be based on alcohol instead of water. This has two major advantages over currently available solutions. First, it gives excellent adhesion to non-porous materials. Drying times are very fast and the ink is scratch- and rub-resistant. Secondly, the ink is formulated for high-resolution, high-speed printing of up to 600 dots per inch, thus providing excellent blackness and higher contrast. TrueFlex advanced formulation ink yields important benefits to the end-user. Unlike water-based UV inks, TrueFlex provides instant in-line drying. This allows companies to run lines fast and stack output immediately. The absence of an additional infrared dryer to evaporate water from the ink brings two further benefits: lower investment cost and compactness of installation. Read full PDF press release |
