First European Kyte Installations
Array Graphics Kyte, the new high-speed high-resolution printing system for mailing and graphic industries, is rolling out now. The first two end users have received their systems and are running production. Both systems are completely different. One uses water-based ink, the other UV-ink. As a good third we have our demo system that is on the road quite a lot.
High-Resolution Web Printing with Water-Based Ink
The water-based Kyte is installed in Germany by Mikrojet Systems GmbH. It is running in a web press where variably positioned information is being printed on Lotto forms. Crosses are printed placed in a grid to cross out values that make the game. The crosses need to be positioned very accurately. This is a basic requirement, as is high speed and blackness. The variable information is run by a Bobbin controller. The main benefits for the user are:

Read & Print Application with UV Ink
The UV system runs a read & print application in the Czech Republic (Grafibind Holland). The printed information is also verified to ensure the integrity of production. A camera system reads a code through the window of an envelope. The code is matched to a database and the related information is then printed on the outside of the envelope. The Runner controller controls line and data handling. This end user has chosen Kyte for its very high printing quality. The ink dries immediately, which is a basic requirement because of high running speed. The integration of the Runner controller is a real benefit to the system, allowing to add camera reading, data matching and production line control.
Reliable and Stable
Our demo system has starred at various exhibitions, open houses and demos. All the transportations back and forth have not affected the quality of print and stability of the system to any degree. For us that is an indication of the reliability of the Kyte. In July, the Kyte demo system will be on the road for three weeks in Italy, Austria and Germany. A number of demonstrations have already been planned.
Practice and Price
Array Graphics has shown now the quality of the Kyte! We have a unique concept. The state-of-the-art technology has proven its practical value. The price is very competitive. It just does the job. Quod erat demonstrandum!
